Hot Rod Mustangs for 2008

Mustangs still remain as the most successful automotive sales stories. Almost one out of two sports cars purchased in America is a Mustang. The Mustang is America’s most popular, hottest-selling convertible. For Mustangs charged into 2008 as the only pony car on streets and desires to expand its leadership with brand-new features with a personalized feel and look that Mustang fans love.
The 2008 Mustang attempted to hold onto its sales leadership with new features to add to personal appeal. This includes 18-inch wheels, HID or High Intensity Discharge, an interior lighting system and headlamps.

There are three brand-new colors. These are Dark Candy Apple, Metallic Vapor Clearcoat, and Metallic Red Clearcoat, which replaces the Satin Silver, Redfire, and Tungsten. This enhances the Mustang’s American, bold style with safety improvements that has the addition of side airbags.

Available for 2008 were the Shelby GT500KR and the ShelbyGT. The ShelbyGT offers drivers a Vista Blue color for the exterior with a silver stripe and offers a choice of two styles, convertible or coupe. The Shelby GT, under the hood, is a 4.6 liter engine. It generates 319 horsepower. The overall ride height is dropped by a little more than an inch by the coil springs. Front swaybars and a stiffer dampers further enhance feel and control.

2008 was the 40th anniversary of the Mustang, dubbed the ‘King of the Road.” Also new for the year, was a Warriors in Pink Mustang, limited-edition. It was exclusively designed to support the renowned Susan G. Komen For the Cure. IT happened to Komen’s for the Cure’s 25th anniversary. The vehicle sported pink exterior, just like the famed pink ribbons that are the visual reminder of the organization. Sales for the Warriors in Pink limited edition will help raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
